About LESLi
Tour the Labor and Employment Standards Library (LESLi)
For nearly 20 years STR has been one of the leading providers of responsible sourcing services to government agencies, lending institutions, NGOs, and Fortune 500 companies. We conduct over 16,000 social compliance assessments each year in over 140 countries, pioneering numerous industry innovations in the process – including this database.

Originally developed for our own staff to reference and research labor and employment laws relevant to the assessment process, we are now offering this tool to industry, institutional and government users. Laws in this database cover over 140 countries and 17 key areas of labor and employment law: Wages, Work hours, Deductions, Benefits, Legal Records, Legal Postings, Hiring and Termination, Child Labor, Legal Youth Employment, Discrimination & Harassment, Forced Labor, Freedom of Association, Operational Safety, General Workplace Conditions, Fire Safety, Health & Hygiene and Chemicals & Hazardous Materials.

We obtain these laws from government ministries, law texts, international law firms, and international organizations, giving you access to the actual law excerpts. This provides subscribers with full flexibility in how these excerpts are used. All laws have been skillfully translated into English from the foreign-language original.

We welcome you to tour the library to see for yourself the added value it can bring to global sourcing strategy, legal and academic research.
